This Privacy Policy explains how the Vird mobile app and the kurandinle.tr website (together, the "App") handle your data. We respect your privacy: the App does not collect personally identifiable information, does not require an account, and never uses your data for advertising or tracking.

In short: No account, no ads, no tracking, no data selling. Your reading position, bookmarks, streaks and preferences are stored only on your device. Location is used only with your permission, for prayer times and qibla.

1. Data We Collect

The App does not collect data that personally identifies you (such as name, email, or phone number). The following data is used solely to power the relevant feature:

Location (optional): With your permission, used to calculate prayer times for your area and to show the qibla direction. If you prefer not to grant location access, you can select your city/district manually instead.
On-device preferences: Your last-read verse, bookmarks, daily streak/worship records, chosen reciter and translation, and notification settings. These are kept only on your device and are not sent to our servers.

2. How Location Is Used

When you grant location permission:

The qibla compass runs entirely on your device; your location is not sent anywhere.
For prayer times, your approximate coordinates are sent to the Aladhan service (api.aladhan.com) which calculates the times. Your coordinates are not stored by us and are never used for advertising.

You can turn off location access at any time in your device settings.

3. Audio and Content

Qur'an audio, translation text, and the adhan are served from our own server (kurandinle.tr). As with any website, when content is requested the server may temporarily keep standard access logs (such as IP address, date/time, and the requested file) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to personally identify you or for advertising.

4. Notifications

Prayer time, verse of the day, and streak reminders are local notifications generated on your device. No personal data is collected or transmitted for these notifications. You can disable them in your device settings.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses a small number of services strictly for core functionality:

Aladhan (api.aladhan.com) — prayer time calculation.
Apple — location and map/geocoding services (part of iOS).

The App contains no advertising networks, analytics, or third-party tracking tools.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your reading position, bookmarks, streak records, and preferences are stored only on your device. When you delete the App, this data is removed from your device. We do not maintain a user account or personal database on our side.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for users of all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, please note that no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
